North Carolina Society of Goldsmiths
Our Mission
NCSG was founded in 1989 to provide opportunities for education and information exchange among members. We are a non-profit organization which seeks to support and advance the work of member metalsmiths and artisans.
We provide members with demonstrations, workshops and lectures by outstanding teachers, craftspersons, artists and designers. We try to facilitate the exchange of professional information through quarterly meetings and newsletters, our web site, and the publication of a membership directory, educational activities and exhibitions.
Membership is open to practicing metalsmiths, retail or manufacturing jewelers, students and persons who are interested in the art and wish to be contributing members of the Society.
We are searching for people who would like to start chapters of NCSG. Coming from other areas of our state for meetings and workshops may be cost and time prohibitive for some people. People interested in starting a chapter can get the paperwork and instructions (so the chapters don't have to go through the cost or time of incorporating) by contacting Monnda Welch.
